Through the artistry of music and movement, and the strength of lyrics that generate deep emotion, Caught in the Threshold is a performance piece shaped by an ensemble of actors, dancers, musicians and artists who, themselves, are at that “threshold” of change.

Fresh from the stages of Spring Awakening and the studios of Gossip Girl and Broadway Dance Center, the actors delve into life lessons learned from the experiences that take each of us to the brink of change—and the life-altering decisions we make at those moments. The piece, inspired by the contradictions and juxtapositions of daily life, within individual spaces as well as social interaction, explores the universal inner struggles that lead to growth and understanding from a new and energizing perspective.

Directed and choreographed by Eryn Murman, Caught In The Threshold features a stellar ensemble including Gerard Canonico, Blake Daniel, Natalie DeGrandis, Andrew Durand, Morgan Karr, Eryn Murman, Eric Namaky, Jesse Swenson, Peter Van Dam, Adam Wiggins, and Dorothy Yang.

Produced by Dorothy Yang with music direction by Adam Wiggins, Caught in the Threshold will feature two performances on Friday, May 15, 2009 at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street, NY. Performances at 7pm & 9:30pm. Tickets available at TheaterMania www.theatermania.com 212-352-3101, at $50 for patron/premium seats and $28 for general admission.

Proceeds benefit Invisible Children Inc., a non-profit organization that aims to alleviate the tragedy of war in Uganda and its impact on children, by forging partnerships with war-torn communities in order to expose children to better education and economic opportunities through mentorship, resettlement and financial support.
