Bagela4Art Presents: RUSHI-THREE INCARNATIONS OF A CHINESE WOMAN A One Woman Original Play.

Bagela4Art Production is honored to present an original one-woman play-?Rushi: Three Reincarnations of a Chinese Woman. Directed by Giorgia Testa and solo presented by NYC Taiwanese Actor Yanzi Ding.

Its world premiere will be at The Playroom Theatre from April 10th to April 14th.

The story is about searching for the meaning of "Home". Narrated by a bardo named Rushi a spirit, that just died on earth. As a bardo she will manifest her three past lives. They happened almost simultaneously in parallel universes and they will be taken in consideration by a spiritual jury, in order to decide her next reincarnation.

Played by only one actress, she will be seen in 4 different characters: Bardo Rushi in the timeless spiritual realm; Cabaret singer Rushi in Shanghai in 1937; Villager Rushi in Country Village, China, in 1980; and Surgeon Rushi in New York in 2013.
The script highlights many topics worthy to discuss nowadays: environment, immigration, sexuality and women's value at different times and regions. The creators invite both American and Asian audience to experience a taste of Asian culture combined with nowadays society issues.

The original creator Yanzi Ding is a NYC Taiwanese Bilingual Actor, she comes from a music background as a harpist and composer in Taiwan. Graduated from AMDA(American Musical and Dramatic Academy), works as an actor, playwright, singer, musician and composer.

During 2018-2019, she leads the featured films ?One More Photo Please? and ?The Hitman Struck?, Off-Broadway Musical ?War Lovers? in Theatre Row 42nd and Off-Broadway Play ?Flying Tigers Flying Away? in York Theatre. Her work is particularly concerned about the environment and women's issue in the world nowadays.

Director Giorgia Testa is the CEO of Bagela4Art Production, produces and creates works of theatre, web series and film, especially promote and represent International Artists. The director said, she would like to highlight each woman's inner strength and Will Power. In order to represent woman role and rights in different eras and areas, trying to persuade the audience to think and find they're own personal meaning of "Home".
