BROADWAY'S NEXT H!T MUSICAL Featured at The Phony's
For three nights only (for now), the MAC award-winning, Broadway's Next H!T Musical will bring glitz and glam to the Upper West Side with New York's only unscripted theatrical awards show, "The Phony's". Taking suggestions from the audience, the cast of Broadway's Next H!T Musical brings to life an actual mock awards show, complete with made-up show tunes and genuinely witty banter, followed by the a performance of the evening's "Phony" award winning musical.
Here is how it works:
1) The first act is a fancy award ceremony spotlighting four of the year's "Best Musical" nominees (made up on -the-spot, based on audience-created song titles.)
2) The second act is the entire "winning" musical based on the audience favorite nominee from act one.
Broadway's Next H!T Musical has been called "Hilarious!" by The New York Times; "Remarkable... Something that few improvisers anywhere have the talent, experience and wit needed to successfully do...An 'A-list' of seasoned improvisers. A spontaneity, wit and inventiveness that must be seen to be believed!" -New York Post; "A fun, snappy night of comedy and music" -NEXT Magazine; "The swift and gifted troupe scores lots of laughs" -Daily News; "This deliciously funny, clever and cute troupe improvises a full Broadway musical on the spot each week for the audience. Incredible, but true!" - Cabaret Hotline
This unscripted, fully improvised award show extravaganza is hosted by Greg Triggs and features an amazing cast including Robert Z. Grant, Kobi Libii, Deb Rabbai, Stefan Schick, Rob Schiffmann, Rebecca Vigil with Eric March and Andrew Resnick on piano. Broadway's Next H!T Musical is presented by Strategic Entertainment NYC in association with Ralph Buckley.
