Anthony Rapp will perform his one-man show, Anthony Rapp: Without You — An Evening of Love, Loss and the Musical Rent, at Joe’s Pub on September 29th at 7:00PM.

The performance will also feature Rapp's band Albinokid. This "rock n' roll memoir" is freely based on Rapp's best selling book of the same name.

Rapp created the role of Mark Cohen in the Broadway and London productions of Rent. His other theatrical credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Precious Sons; Six Degrees of Separation; Bright Lights, Big City; Raised in Captivity; Trafficking in Broken Hearts; Youth Is Wasted; Sophistry; and The Destiny of Me. Rapp's film credits include Donald Roos’ upcoming “17 Photos of Isabelle” starring Natalie Portman, Lisa Kudrow, and Scott Cohen.  Other film credits include "A Beautiful Mind," "Adventures in Babysitting," "School Ties," "Dazed and Confused" and "Six Degrees of Separation." He also starred in Chris Columbus' "Rent" film.

"Without You: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and the Musical Rent," published on the Simon & Schuster label, begins with Rapp's audition for the original workshop of the late Jonathan Larson's Rent and continues through the show's chaotic journey to Broadway and the phenomenal success the musical — about a group of friends in New York’s East Village — achieved. Rapp candidly discusses his life at the time, including his relationships as well as his mother's battle with cancer and her ultimate, heartbreaking death.

Joe’s Pub is part of the Joseph Papp Public Theater, located at 425 Lafayette Street. Tickets, priced at $20, can be purchased by calling (212) 967-7555 or by visiting www.joespub.com.
