APT Theater Presents New Gay Thriller PROSPECT PARK

A man and his lover are propositioned to kill a stranger for a million dollars in APT Theater's brand new full-length thriller PROSPECT PARK, opening November 1 at the Alchemical Theatre Laboratory in Chelsea.

PROSPECT PARK is the story of Blake, a former actor, and his younger lover, Spencer, who are approached in the park by a mysterious woman, the cunning Mason, and offered a million dollars to kill someone from her dark past. After Patrick, Blake's disillusioned partner of 10 years, and Jack, Patrick's ruthless colleague, become involved, all of their lives are set on an irreversible course that ends in murder.

The play, written by Justin Goodemoot, runs November 1-3 and 8-10 at the Alchemical Theatre Laboratory, Studio A, 104 West 14th St., New York, NY, at 8pm. Tickets are $20 and available at www.apttheater.com/prospectpark.

The cast includes Alex Beck [dir. Gorgeous: A Barbara Harris Tribute, Disney's The Happiest Millionaire Concert], Tucker Aust [Can't You Tell!, FRIGID Festival] Gloria Sangirardi Jung [TV: Streets & Avenues], Stephen Brumble, and Gabriel Armentano. The scenic designer is Jess Petino and production lighting will be designed by Jessie Lynn Smith. Jared Kirby and Kaitlyn Farley are the fight choreographers.

APT Theater produces original works written by co-founders Justin Goodemoot and Kate Dickinson. APT began performing new plays in occupied apartments in 2011; they soon started producing works in unique spaces around the city starting with 2013's THE RETURN.
