There are High School talent shows, and there is LaGuardia's Rising Stars. This all-school variety show brings together students from each of the school's studios--Drama, Vocal, Dance, Music, Art, and Technical Theater--for a performance that is nothing short of spectacular. Directed by Lee Lobenhofer and Rachel Ticotin, students are encouraged to push beyond their usual boundaries and step outside of their majors. A dancer who can sing, a drama student who can dance, an artist performing a concerto... we dare you to stay in your seats! You never know which Rising Star will be the next one to make headlines. Past Rising Stars performers include Micaela Diamond (Baby Cher in The Cher Show), Oscar nominee Timothy Chalamet and Golden Globe nominee Ansel Elgort.
