(07/27/2011) - Playwrights Horizons will present the New York premiere of COMPLETENESS, a new play by Itamar Moses (The Four of Us, Bach at Leipzig). Directed by Obie Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Clybourne Park at PH, The Four of Us, Occupant, Peter and Jerry), the production will begin previews Friday, August 19 at 8PM with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, September 13 at 7PM. The first production of the theater company's 2011/2012 Season, the limited engagement will play through Sunday, September 25 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater. (07/25/2011) - York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) has announced the casts for Oh, Coward! and The Mad Show, the next titles in its Summer 2011 Musicals in Mufti Series-the York's acclaimed series of musical theatre gems in staged concert performances. The concerts will run from July 15-17 and July 29-31, respectively. Individual tickets are $39.50 and available at the York box office (12-6 PM, Mon-Fri), by phone (212-935-5820), and at yorktheatre.org.

Their mission: to musically refuel their spaceship by performing the music of Earthlings. VOCA PEOPLE, (www.VocaPeopleNYC.com) created by Lior Kalfo and Shai Fishman, will land at The Westside Theatre, (407 W. 43rd Street) beginning June 23rd with the official opening scheduled for July 12th, it was announced today by producers Doron Lida, Revital Kalfo, Leeorna Solomons, and Eva Price (Executive Producer). (07/07/2011) - Saturday evening July 2nd, Joan Rivers was spotted in the audience at SILENCE! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, at Theatre 80, located at 80 St. Marks Place (between First & Second Ave.) The legendary comedienne/actress was the first to leap to her feet at the end of the performance, leading the standing ovation. Joan chatted with the cast after the show and she even offered some tongue-in-cheek advice to leading lady Jenn Harris regarding her first scene. Jenn replied, 'You're an asshole!' The two actresses fell into each others arms dissolved in laughter.
