In These Paper Bullets!, Rolin Jones' swinging riff on Shakespeare's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING styled as one of Richard Lester's farcical Beatles movies, Bryan Fenkart, James Barry, Lucas Papaelias and Justin Kirk play a quartet of British mods called The Quartos, who play enormously catchy Billie Joe Armstrong tunes that strongly suggest hit singles like "I Wanna Hold Your Hand," and "Please, Please Me."

In this clever mockumentary called Quartospective, the play's BBC entertainment reporter, Paulina Noble, sends us holiday greetings from the boys and best wishes for a cheeky new year.

THESE PAPER BULLETS! invites you to meet the Quartos: Ben, Claude, Balth, and Pedro. Their fans worship them. Scotland Yard fears them. And their former drummer will stop at nothing to destroy them. Can these fab four from Liverpool find true love in London and cut an album in seven nights? A play with music, These Paper Bullets! is a modish rip-off of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing with a serious backbeat.

Adapted by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Emmy Award® nominated writer Rolin Jones (The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow, "Friday Night Lights," "Weeds") and featuring new songs by Grammy Award winning Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong, who wrote the Tony Award® winning musical American Idiot, These Paper Bullets! is directed by Jackson Gay, who staged Jones' The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow and The Jammer both at Atlantic.
