The Theatre Project presents the World Premiere Off-Broadway production of Barbicide at The Players Theatre. The new play, written by Sean Pomposello and directed by Christian Amato, will run for a Limited Engagement October 4 through November 3.

With just a dash of Mafioso mythology Angie Atkinson, Arthur Aulisi, Paulette Oliva and Douglas Sharf underscore the consequences of coincidence and fate through a series of interwoven monologues that are as sharp as the old demon barber's straight razor. In Barbicide, Toddesco, freshly released from Dannemora, sets about seeking his revenge on a notorious Queens mob boss - The Judge.

The Theatre Project, "Off-Broadway's Adventurous New Company," is dedicated to the production and promotion of ground-breaking modern theatre. As a new play development organization, pride is held in being responsible for the upbringing of the crucial plays of tomorrow. Productions are created through a fine tuned aesthetic—an open platform—in order to aggregate a theatrical event that defies the normal convention.

The Players Theatre is located at 115 MacDougal Street. For tickets, call (212) 475-1237 or visit OvationTix.com.For more information, visit www.BarbicideOffBroadway.com or www.TheTheatreProject.org.
