TSP Artists' Platform presents the world premiere of DREAMS, Norman Beim's prize-winning comedy-drama. Veteran director Sheila Smith directs this touching play that tells the story of legendary Broadway stars, Lily and Archie Lowe, (read Alfred Lunt & Lynn Fontanne) who are coming out of retirement, after being away from the stage for so many years. How will these aged troupers, who were adored by millions of fans in their day, fare today?
Mr. Beim , who is also a veteran actor, is returning to the stage after fifteen years during which time he was devoted to his writing. As an actor Mr. Beim appeared with Morgan Freeman at the Public Theatre in Black Visions, on Broadway in the original production of Inherit The Wind and on tour with the film star Van Johnson in Tribute He also appeared in numerous TV shows, Saturday Night Live, soap operas et al. Opposite Mr. Beim, in the role of Lily, is Carol Emshoff, also a veteran trouper who has appeared with Mr. Beim in numerous productions. NORMAN BEIM ( Author ) Beim's plays have been produced nationally and internationally, including last year's New York production of FRITZ & FROYIM that garnered widespread critical acclaim. His comedy–drama, Success , ran for more than a year in The Netherlands and has been optioned for a film.
