Shoshana Bean to Headline The Public Theater's Annual Gala
Honorees are Peggy Cooper Davis & Gordon J. Davis and Benay & Steven Taub, and more.
Grammy Award winner and two-time Tony nominee Shoshana Bean (Hell's Kitchen, Mr. Saturday Night, The Lost Boys) will headline The Public Theater’s Annual Gala on Monday, June 8.
Held on the lawn outside The Delacorte Theater in Central Park, The Public’s Gala will kick off another Shakespeare for the City season and Free Shakespeare in the Park with cocktails, dinner, and special performances.
Honorees are Peggy Cooper Davis & Gordon J. Davis and Benay & Steven Taub, longtime board members and their spouses; JetBlue Airways, in recognition of their extraordinary impact on The Public Theater and the City of New York; and A&O Shearman for a decade of unwavering support of The Public and Free Shakespeare in the Park. The Gala is co-chaired by Kurt Chauviere, Lisa E. Davis, Kim Y. Lew, and Janice Cook Roberts.
Gala tickets are available now. All proceeds from the Annual Gala help The Public create free theater for New York City, produce new works by artists who dare to tell their unique stories, and strengthen community partnerships.
