NAKED BOYS SINGING Begins Previews Tonight

Naked Boys Singing!, the outrageous musical comedy that ran off Broadway for thirteen years before closing five weeks ago, is back – bigger and better than ever! New staging, new boys, same costumes. Based on the successful long-running Provincetown production, from Drama Desk nominee Tom D'Angora (NEWSical The Musical) and Michael D'Angora, the show is an hour of non-stop comedy, nudity, dancing, and as the title says, singing!

The D'Angora's have been producing and directing the Provincetown production of Naked Boys Singing since 2007 and are excited to be bringing that production, with a few more bells and whistles, to New York. The show will feature a cast of Provincetown alumni as well as some new faces. Choreographed by Provincetown alum Alex Ringler (Broadway's West Side Story, A Chorus Line, ICONS) the cast will feature Jon-Paul Mateo (Broadway's The Wedding Singer), Russell Peck, Ryan Obermeier (National Tour Hairspray), David (Bryant) San Angelo, Ricky Schroeder (Off-Broadway's ICONS), Seph Stanek, and Christopher Trepinski.

The first full-frontal show of Naked Boys Singing! - created by Robert Schrock and featuring show-stopping tunes by Shelley Markham, Stephen Bates, Mark Winkler and the Emmy-Award winning Bruce Vilanch - premiered at Los Angeles' Celebration Theater in 1998. Since then, the revealing revue has dropped its drawers for eager audiences around the world including Australia, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Previews begin Thursday, March 22nd with opening night set for Thursday, April 5th. Naked Boys Singing will be playing at Theatre Row's Kirk Theatre (sharing the stage with NEWSical The Musical) on Thursdays at 8pm, Fridays at 10:30pm, and Saturdays at 6pm.
