Lively Productions will present the Off-Broadway premiere of Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula's Lower East Side mash-up media, BLOGOLOGUES, a new comedy, April 12 – May 5, 2012 with an official press opening on Friday, April 20, 2012 at The Players Loft theatre at 115 MacDougal Street, NYC. David Hilder directs. www.livelyproductions.org

Lively Productions crafts sketches using found material from the internet. BLOGOLOGUES blends the digital and theatrical by spotlighting a dozen posts from more obscure sites as well as well-known favorites such as Mcsweeneys.net, Cracked.com, Craigslist and more. Posts are performed verbatim, using creativity and multimedia to weave together the material. !

BLOGOLOGUES has been running for a series of one-night engagements in the East Village, featuring a new theme for each evening. Past incarnations include Are You There God? It's Me, Blogologues, which took on religion; and Blogologues: I Need a Vocation, which featured material related to employment, or the lack thereof.

In its first-time ever run, BLOGOLOGUES: YOUNGER THAN SPRINGTIME will tackle the surest signs of the season: spring fever, fertility, fashion, taxes and more. Given the timely nature of the internet, brand new material will be added each weekend.

"There is such an amazing, diverse array of voices online, changing the face of storytelling. So what does that mean for live theater?" ask co-creators Goldberg and Jamula. "We're excited bring to life some of these very real and unique stories. We want to inspire people to laugh with one another at our common experiences, instead of alone in front of our computers."

The cast of BLOGOLOGUES: YOUNGER THAN SPRINGTIME includes Dave Thomas Brown, Matthew Cox, Allison Goldberg, Jen Jamula and Wendy Joy.

Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula are co-creators of BLOGOLOGUES and have been Co-Artistic Directors of Lively Productions (www.livelyproductions.org) since August of 2010. Allison and Jen co-conceived, produced and performed in BLOGOLOGUES beginning in May 2011, and were subsequently asked to take part in a six month developmental residency at Under St. Mark's, during which time they created and performed in new versions of BLOGOLOGUES every month. Blogologues has been featured in The Observer, Crushable, Metro New York, Backstage and more, and the concept has been extended to podcasts and webisodes (blogologues.tumblr.com). This March, they were invited by CNN contributor and media maven Rachel Sklar to host and perform in a women & comedy event at South by Southwest in Austin, TX. In addition to their stage endeavors, the duo also launched and ran the vlog whyareyouonmytrain.com from 2010-2011, where they interviewed strangers on the New York City subway. The vlog was featured in The New York Times, The Huffington Post, Refinery29 on NY1 and more, and has been called "genius" and a "gem", while Jen and Allison were praised for "their unique eye for interesting characters." Allison graduated cum laude from Yale University with degrees in Theater Studies and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations; Jen also graduated with a degree in Theater Studies and both have been members of Actors Equity Association since 2006.
