Following multiple extensions at his original Midtown home, America's most outspoken comedian is heading right where he belongs-the toast of downtown nightlife. Producers Just Words Productions, LLC, in association with Theatre 68, and Lenny Bruce's daughter, Kitty Bruce, are thrilled to announce that I'm Not A Comedian...I'm Lenny Bruce will begin an eight-week engagement at the provocative vaudeville theatre The Box, with performances set to resume Friday, March 8. Performances will be Thursday and Friday at 8pm; and Saturday at 3pm and 8pm. This exclusive cabaret stage is will be the new home for the transfer of I'm Not a Comedian...I'm Lenny Bruce, directed by multi award-winning actor and director Joe Mantegna. An undisputed comic legend, Lenny Bruce was one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. His life and work have had an impact on poetry, politics, music, film and, of course... comedy. Lenny's tempestuous personal and professional life was marked by great passion and great pain. His unwavering commitment to free speech led to numerous obscenity charges and arrests, fighting all the way to the Supreme Court. Lenny has not yet been surpassed at his particular brand of art, and if he were around today, he would be in as much trouble as when he was alive.

Previews for I'm Not A Comedian...I'm Lenny Bruce began October 23; official press opening was Sunday, November 4. It played its final performance at The Cutting Room on February 9. Performances will resume at The Box on Friday, March 8 with the following schedule: Thursday and Friday at 8pm; and Saturday at 3pm and 8pm. Please note: there will be no performances on Thursday, March 7; Thursday, March 14; Saturday, March 30; Thursday, April 11; Friday, April 12; and Saturday, April 20.
