According to Variety, Tucker Max's I HOPE THEY SERVE BEER ON BROADWAY's off-Broadway run at 777 Theatre has been cancelled. The show was set to open yesterday, July 5, 2013. A rep for the show said all tickets had been refunded.

"After a sold out showcase that provided an opportunity to see the show on its feet in front of live audiences, the producer has decided the best way to build on this success is to take the show back into development for a production to be announced at a later date," the representative said.

I Hope They Serve Beer on Broadway just played an extended, sold-out engagement at The Cabaret at Roy Arias Studios and Theatres in NYC.

The play is Sanderson's theatrical adaptation of the books of irreverent author, Tucker Max, whose infamous books revolve around his own shocking and hair-raising adventures. The show starred Abe Goldfarb a/k/a Burlesque MC Bastard Keith as Tucker Max.

"I Hope They Serve Beer On Broadway By Tucker Max" has struck a cord with the "generation Y" consumer, thereby creating a vast new audience for the theater world. The production is in development for Broadway, national tour and franchise.
