HARPER REGAN Star Madeleine Martin to Appear on WLNY’s 'Live from the Couch', 10/17
Madeleine Martin, currently starring in Atlantic Theater Company's production of HARPER REGAN, will join hosts John Elliot, Lisa Kerney and Carolina Bermudez on WLNY's "Live from the Couch" tomorrow morning, October 17 in the 7:30 AM half-hour. In addition to performing off-Broadway, Madeleine Martin also stars in the hit Showtime series "Californication" and has appeared on Broadway in August: Osage County and The Pillowman.
"Live from the Couch" airs at 7:00 AM on WLNY (Channel 55 on Time Warner Cable or Channel 10 on Cablevision in New York City). Check local listings elsewhere in the tri-state area.
Atlantic Theater Company announced this week that the New York premiere production of Olivier Award winner Simon Stephens' play has been extended an additional week through Sunday, November 4. HARPER REGAN began previews September 20 and officially opened October 10 at Atlantic's main stage Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street).
Directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, HARPER REGAN also stars Atlantic Theater Company member Mary McCann, leading the celebrated ensemble cast of Vandit Bhatt, Christopher Innvar, Mahira Kakkar, Jordan Lage, Mary Beth Peil, Gareth Saxe, Peter Scanavino, John Sharian and Stephen Tyrone Williams.
One strange evening, Harper Regan (McCann) decides to walk away from her husband (Saxe), her daughter (Martin) and her home. She tells no one where she's going or whether she's ever coming back. She tosses family, history and fate straight up in the air, and it looks like she might be gone for good. In Simon Stephens' acclaimed play, which premiered in 2008 at the UK's National Theatre, we are folded into an absorbing story about a woman who explores the limits of loyalty, morality, and the bonds of family.
The design team for HARPER REGAN features scenic design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Sarah J. Holden, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and original music and sound design by Fitz Patton.
Atlantic Theater Company AT THE LINDA GROSS THEATER is located at 336 West 20th Street (between 8th & 9th Avenues). HARPER REGAN plays Tuesday-Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, Sunday at 3pm.
