David Ives' LIVES OF THE SAINTS Begins Performances Tomorrow at Primary Stages

Lives of the Saints, a world premiere collection of delightfully funny and unforgettable short plays by David Ives (All in the Timing, Venus in Fur) and directed by Tony Award winner John Rando (All in the Timing, On The Town, Urinetown), begins performances tomorrow, February 3 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street - a NEW 42ND STREET project. Continuing its 30th anniversary season, Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) presents the latest Ives and Rando collaboration with producing partners Jamie deRoy and Barry Feirstein. The limited engagement runs through March 27, 2015. Opening night is Tuesday, February 24 at 7PM.

Lives of the Saints will feature Arnie Burton (Peter and the Starcatcher, The 39 Steps), Carson Elrod (All in the Timing, The Explorers Club), Rick Holmes (The Threepenny Opera, Peter and the Starcatcher), Kelly Hutchinson (Desire Under the Elms, Don Peyote) and Liv Rooth (All in the Timing, Venus in Fur).

Lives of the Saintsfeatures scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Jason Lyons, sound design and original music by John Gromada, wig design by Tom Watson, and casting by Calleri Casting.

"Lives of the Saints marks our seventh production of David Ives' work," says Primary Stages Artistic Director Andrew Leynse. "This collection of short plays, including three new pieces, is a mixture of humor, intellect, and farce and is a transformative step in Mr. Ives' mastery of the one-act form. We are thrilled to be working again with David and his long-time collaborator, director John Rando."

LISTINGS INFORMATION: Lives of the Saintsplays a limited engagement February 3- March 27, 2015 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street - a NEW 42ND STREET project. Opening night is Tuesday, February 24. Performances are Tues-Thurs 7pm, Fri 8pm, Sat 2&8pm, Sun 3pm. There is an added 2pm matinee on Wednesday, March 25. There are no performances on Wednesday, March 4 or Tuesday, March 17. Tickets for Lives of the Saints are $70 and can be purchased online at PrimaryStages.org or at Dukeon42.org, by phone at 646-223-3010, or at the box office. Regular box office hours at The Duke on 42nd Street are: Tues-Fri 4pm-7pm; Saturday 12pm- 6pm. Box Office hours are extended on performance days.
