Crystal Bowersox to Star in Patsy Cline Tribute CRAZY FOR LOVIN' YOU Readings

Invitation only industry presentations of "Crazy For Lovin' You - A Tribute to Patsy Cline & Friends" will be presented at Barrow Group Studio Theater, 520 8th Avenue, 9th floor on Tuesday June 2 at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 3 at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Drama Desk Award winner Jeff Cohen's latest work stars American Idol favorite Crystal Bowersox in a unique period-recreation concert of Patsy Cline and her Grand Ole Opry contemporaries-including Joltin' Jim McCoy, Jimmy Dean, George Morgan, T. Tommy Cutrer, Faron Young, and Grandpa Jones-singing the era's classic country and pop standards. The evening, directed by Alfred Preisser, is an historical depiction of the early days of Country music and the Grand Ole Opry, and will feature guest stars Tony Award nominee Lou Liberatore and Drama Desk Award winner Patrick Breen, along with the acclaimed bluegrass/honky tonk band The West Side Cowboys.

Fifteen years after her celebrated finalist run on Season Nine of American Idol, Crystal Bowersox continues to be recognized as one of the competition's most soulful and formidable vocalists, and entertaining audiences across the country. Crystal's tribute to Cline promises to be a definitive musical celebration, bringing the iconic hits of the Patsy Cline songbook to life within the rich historical context of the Nashville community that shaped her.

These presentations are being conducted under Actors' Equity Association's 29-hour reading guidelines and attendance is by invitation only. Seating is extremely limited.
