Colman Domingo's solo show A BOY AND HIS SOUL, opens Off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre tonight and will run through October 18th.  The PASSING STRANGE star most recently performed A BOY this week as part of the Broadway Sessions series on September 22nd.

Tony Kelly directs and Ken Roberson choreographs the play, which is written and performed by Domingo.

According to the Vineyard, A BOY AND HIS SOUL "explores the life experiences of a young African-American man in 1980s Philadelphia, propelled by the beat of classical soul."

Colman Domingo made his Broadway debut in the Tony and Obie winning musical 'Passing Strange'. Mister Domingo replaced Orlando Jones in the title role in 'The Wiz' this summer at Encores! Summer Stars series. He is a cast member on LOGO TV's 'The Big Gay Sketch Show'.
