The trio of clowns arrives at the theater with an antique trunk full of circus props, and discovers that the audience is already waiting, but the show is late. When the circus doesn't show up, they decide to perform the show themselves, playing all the roles and creating an amazing and hilarious performance full of clever surprises. Clowns Shea Vaccaro, Joy Powers and Joshua Shack with friend Book Kennison take on the roles of acrobat, lion or musician they still remain at their core a group of loveable clowns that have set out to bring you the world's greatest circus in a trunk. The trio has been featured in Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey, Midnight Circus, on Jay Leno's The Tonight Show, The Late Show with David Letterman with Taylor Lautner in the film "Shadow Fury"and in Circus Smirkus.

Intimate and engaging, the show is creative and current while evoking a nostalgic old-world charm. The Piccolini Trio combines contemporary and classic European style clowning, and bring to life a repertoire of routines using music, acrobatics, physical comedy, poetic whimsy, juggling, and pantomime.

All performances are suitable for all ages. The afternoon shows are precededby a fun a la carte brunch where families can enjoy waffles, yogurt, pastries, oatmeal and other foods in a friendly environment before the show. Canal Park Playhouse is an intimate venue for theater and cabaret It offers a hurly, burly mix of entertainment each week including one and two character plays, the best of New York City's Subway and street entertainers, classic vaudeville acts from plate spinners to magicians to ventriloquists and Children's shows with waffle brunches every weekend. Performances range in price from free to $30. Canal Park Playhouse is located in the landmarked 1826 Canal House, adjacent to the recently restored Canal Park. It has two venues- The Front Room and The Back Room. The Front Room, with cabaret chairs and tables, seats 35 and houses the concession stand which features an eclectic menu of fun foods which will begin serving wine and beer in winter 2010. The Back Room is furnished with upholstered theater seats salvaged from the legendary Sullivan Street Playhouse. It seats 55, has a proscenium stage with raked seating and charming 1826 architectural character. Both rooms feature state of the art lighting and sound.

Canal Park Playhouse will be home to a variety of entertainment options, with at least 10 shows a week between the two spaces. The Play Series will showcase one and two character plays in the form of new work and revivals. The Canal Park Playhouse Children's Brunch Series is a series of children's performances Saturdays and Sundays at noon and 2pm. These shows will be in the spirit of classic clowning and vaudeville performers. In addition to the CPP Play series and the Children's Brunch Series Canal Park Playhouse will feature a series of New York City's best Subway and Street Performers weekly. Fridays The Front Room will host Teen Open Mic Night for 13-20 year olds. All performers and customers will be carded for proof of age. The rest of the week at The Playhouse will be rounded off with a series of variety, silent films, music and Cabaret performances, readings and events.
