Tony Award winner Cady Huffman will play the roles of Ms. Pratt, Clarissa and Mrs. Bamberg in Prospect Theater Company's upcoming new production of Cole Porter's NYMPH ERRANT, featuring the original 1933 Porter score and a revised book by Rob Urbinati. Performances begin July 7 at the Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row.

Huffman (The Producers, The Will Rogers Follies) joins a cast that also features Jennifer Blood (Maria in the Drury Lane's The Sound of Music) as Evangeline Edwards, Sara Jayne Blackmore (White Noise, Growing Up 70s) as Henrietta, Laura Cook (Fiddler on the Roof national tour) as Joyce, Amy Jo Jackson (The Great Recession at The Flea) as Bertha and Aubrey Sinn (Prospect Theater Company's Iron Curtain) as Madeline. Rounding out the company are Andrew Brewer, contemporary jazz and blues vocalist Natalie E. Carter, Sorab Wadia (Jihad! The Musical) and Abe Goldfarb (Hostage Song).

The announcement was made today by Prospect Theater Company Producing Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber.

One of Porter's most sexy and sophisticated scores – originally censored in its London debut – will be premiered in this sleek new adaptation. From a Swiss boarding school to an Austrian nudist colony to a Turkish harem, follow the unlikely adventures of young Evangeline Edwards as she enters the world and seeks her true passion in this fresh take on a rarely-heard gem.

Cole Porter's NYMPH ERRANT, with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, is adapted and will be presented with a new libretto by Rob Urbinati (West Moon Street, previously produced by Prospect Theater Company) based on the novel by James Laver and the original libretto by Romney Brent. Will Pomerantz (The Blue Flower, Dai) will direct the production.

James Bassi (Lincoln Center's Twelve Dreams) is the musical director. Brian Prather (Fugitive Songs, Fair Game) is the set designer. Cory Pattak (Newsies, Peter and the Starcatcher) is the lighting designer. Andy Leviss (Strictly Dishonorable) is the sound designer. Whitney Locher (Barrow Street's Cymbeline) is the costume designer. Jason Najjoum (Prospect Theater Company's Myths and Hymns, Trouble The Musical) is the casting director.

Tickets ($50 - $65) are available online at www.ProspectTheater.org or by calling (212) 239-6200 or (800) 432-7250, or in person at the Theatre Row Box Office. Service charges and restoration fees will apply.

Cole Porter's NYMPH ERRANT is the third production in Prospect Theater Company's 2011 - 2012 season, following critically-acclaimed presentations of Adam Guettel's Myths and Hymns and the musical comedy Iron Curtain by Susan DiLallo, Peter Mills and Stephen Weiner.
