BROADWAY SESSIONS Welcomes Casts of BEDBUGS!!!, FANTASTICKS & GRINCH National Tour Tonight
BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.
Tonight, October 16th, Broadway Sessions celebrates Off Broadway offerings The Fantasticks and BedBugs!!!, as well as the upcoming national tour of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Musical.
The Fantasticks by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt is the world's longest running musical-running for over 52 years in Manhattan. Current cast members scheduled to perform include Max Crumm (Matt), Kevin R. Free (Bellomy), Samantha Bruce (Louisa), Pierce Cravens (The Mute) and Dave Schoonover (Standy El Gallo, Bellomy, Hucklbee).
Recently extended through November 2nd at The ArcLight Theater on 71st street, BedBugs!!! is a raucous rock and roll fantasy by Paul Leschen and Fred Sauter. Cast members slated to perform include Nicholas Park (Burt), Barry Shafrin (Mason), Colin Cahill (Ensemble), Danny Bolero (Dexter, Menachem), Tracey Conyer Lee (Belinda), Gretchen Wylder (Mother, Joan, Diner Lady) and Courtney Bassett (Ensemble)
The evening will also feature performance from cast members of the upcoming national touring production of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Musical. Cast members scheduled to appear include Jayson Kerr, Jennifer Wilcove, Kyle Eberlein, Andreas Wyder and Chelsea Vann.
Pre-show Open Mic "Singing for Shots" challenge starts at 10:15.
Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Laurie Beechman Theater inside The West Bank Café located at 407 West 42nd Street (corner of 42nd Street and 9th Avenue).
