Produced by Ivy Theatre Company in association with Athena Theatre, A REAL BOY begins performances tonight, August 2, for a limited engagement through Sunday, August 27. When two puppets adopt a human child, they must deal with the fall out when the boy begins to grow strings. The boy's overzealous (and human) teacher steps in to teach him how to be "normal," igniting a political firestorm that threatens to engulf the entire community.

The design team includes Ann Beyersdorfer (set designer); Jenn Fok (lighting designer); Tristan Raines (costume designer); and Megan Culley (sound designer). The puppets are designed and built by Puppet Kitchen. The production stage manager is Stephanie Kay Garcia.
