New dance grows in the National Ballet’s Ballet laboratory. Twice a year the public are invited in to see. The dance – it may be a dance work that has been started on, small tasters or a process – is shown in an informal setting, in which the audience can get close to the dancers and choreographer. There is no scenography, costumes, props or light design, just pure dance and movement. The aim is to contribute to the development of dance and music in Norway. Most things can come up here, anything from electric boogie to classical ballet choreographed by the choreographers of the present and the future, all performed by the National Ballet’s dancers. And as a bonus it’s entirely free. Welcome!
