Rushes Plus at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet

Comedy and cabaret, absurdity and acrobatics. Such are the hallmarks of Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak’s artistic signature. Now this renowned Israeli company is appearing at the Oslo Opera House.

They will perform a selection of highlights from their extensive repertoire, as well as a complete performance of Rushes, a piece originally conceived by Inbal Pinto, Avshalom Pollak and Robby Barnett for the Pilobolus Dance Theater in the USA. The performance, featuring six eccentric characters and twelve dancing chairs, has been described as “an isolated community of crushed dreams”. Following a performance at Stavanger Concert House, the local newspaper wrote: “With its exquisite mix of styles and choreographic inventiveness, this performance shows yet again that this company is absolutely unique.”
