Classic Alessandrini. We don’t let Rinaldo Alessandrini go so easily. He is a much loved conductor with audiences, singers and musicians after his time as principal guest conductor here. It was he who conducted the last opera production on the stage of Folketeatret in November 2007, Stefan Herheim’s great success Julius Caesar, and we also took him over to Bjørvika for the opening gala. In autumn 2010 he conducted choir, orchestra and soloists in Händel’s Messiah in Oslo and Trondheim, and he also conducted the Opera Orchestra on a wonderful CD of Mozart overtures.
Alessandrini is essentially a Mozart and Baroque specialist, and in this concert he offers Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony, but also classical and early romantic music.
