”More of the same, please” was the message from a delighted audience after Dorothea Röschmann’s recital at the Opera in autumn 2009. On that occasion our casting director said: "This soprano has a voice of remarkable beauty. Her vocal expression can be clear as crystal, but at the same time remarkably refined." Röschmann fits perfectly into the great Mozart roles, and it is with Mozart she has had most success around the world, e.g. at the Metropolitan in New York, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Wiener Staatsoper and the Bastille in Paris. She regularly gives recitals in Europe and the USA, and has recorded a number of CDs under the musical leadership of Harnoncourt, Abbado, Pappano, Rattle and Biondi, among others. She has also made a CD of Schumann songs with the tenor Ian Bostridge.
