Carte Blanche - Object Constant at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet

Rui Horta is back! For his third collaboration with Carte Blanche, Norway’s national contemporary dance company, award winning Portuguese choreographer Rui Horta has revamped his best known work, Object Constant.

Undefined boundaries between audience and performers, text suspended above the dance, enigmatic personal statements conveyed with passion and nerve, lights that conceal as much as they illuminate. Such is Object Constant, which was first presented by S.O.A.P. dance theatre in Frankfurt and has since been performed all over the world. A work that is recognised as having influenced a whole generation of dancers and choreographers, not least through Horta’s characteristically powerful and intense choreographic style
