Queen Sonja Singing Competition Comes to Den Norske Opera Next Month
The performance is set for 26 August.

Intense excitement and panache are key words when the stage is set for the final of the Queen Sonja Singing Competition! Six finalists sing opera arias, together with the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra under the direction of conductor James Gaffigan.
Featuring singing at the very highest level, the final concert of the Queen Sonja International Music Competition has become a beloved tradition among concert audiences and TV viewers alike. The competition has raised many a talented singer to the top of the international opera world. The concert will be broadcast live on NRK Klassisk and the Competition’s YouTube channel.
Opera director Randi Stene is the chair of the jury.
