Joel Bassin Named Producing Artistic Director of Firehouse Theatre

Firehouse Theatre has announced the appointment of Joel Bassin as Producing Artistic Director. He will take over leadership of the theatre at the end of Artistic Director Jase Smith's term in January 2015. Joel is the current Chair of Theatre at Hunter College in New York City.

Max Darwin, aka, 'The Amazing Max,' will perform his one-of-a-kind, interactive magic show at The Alden in McLean at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2. Tickets are $20, $15 for MCC district residents. The Alden is located inside the McLean Community Center, at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

?TheatreLAB and Spin, Spit, & Swear announced today that the opening of their production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, will be delayed by one week, to October 30th. Opening was previously scheduled for October 24th, but due to delays in obtaining an assembly permit for the show's venue, TheatreLAB's new space, The Basement, the first performance has been moved back to October 30th.
