Yosi and the Super Dads Perform Rockin' Hanukkah Concert at McLean's Alden Theatre

By: Nov. 20, 2009

Celebrants of the Jewish holiday, Hanukkah, and other children and parents who enjoy good rock music will enjoy Yosi and the Superdads' Rockin Hanukkah Concert at McLean's Alden Theatre. Part of the Alden Theatre's McLean Kids Series, the performance will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19. Tickets are $14, 10 for McLean tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

You've never heard your classic Hanukkah songs done quite this way! The band's Cajun-infused "My Little Dreidle" would fit easily on a Grateful Dead or Buckwheat Zydeco album. "Maoz Tzur" recalls U2 and The Yardbirds. Recommended for children who are three years old and older, this interactive and humorous family concert is filled with Klezmer, Rock, Ska and Jazz. "Yosi and the Superdads, a group that isn't afraid to add shades of U2 to Jewish music."-The New York Times.

Tickets are on sale now! To purchase tickets, stop by the Alden Theatre Box Office, or to purchase tickets by telephone or online, contact TICKETMASTER at 703-573-SEAT, or <http://www.ticketmaster.com/> . For more information, call 703-790-0123, or visit: www.aldentheatre.org
