Wolf Trap Foundation to Honors Military Personnel & Families, 9/6

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is pleased to join with Boeing and USO-Metro to donate 100 complimentary tickets to military personnel and their families throughout the 2013 summer season. A total of 50 tickets will be donated for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. The screening will take place on Friday, September 6 at 7:30 pm at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. The performance features the film shown on huge screens in-house and on the lawn, accompanied by a live orchestra, The City Choir of Washington, and the World Children's Choir.

"We are delighted to welcome our military families to enjoy a memorable evening immersed in the arts in a way that can only be found at Wolf Trap-America's only national park for the performing arts" said Arvind Manocha, President and CEO of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. USO-Metro, a nonprofit organization dedicated to lifting the spirits of America's troops and their families, facilitated distribution of the donated tickets to local military members and their families living in the Washington-Baltimore region.
