"All of the artists enthusiastically agreed to work with us on this initiative in appreciation of those who serve our country," said Terrence Jones, president and CEO of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. "We hope that a visit to Wolf Trap will provide these service men and women a small respite through the arts, as they spend time together with their friends and families and enjoy the Wolf Trap experience."

Also showing support for the military, The Boeing Company, has generously donated hundreds of tickets for military personnel and their families to attend the Sunday matinee of Cathy Rigby is Peter Pan at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts.

"Service members and their families honor us with their presence. While no act or words can match their sacrifices to help keep us safe, I hope that this donation will in some small way show them how much we appreciate all that they do for us," said Tim Keating, senior vice president for Government Operations at The Boeing Company and Wolf Trap Board member. "Wolf Trap is a special place, and I hope they share an enjoyable evening with friends and family."

The USO of Metropolitan Washington, a nonprofit organization dedicated to lifting the spirits of America's troops and their families, facilitated distribution of the donated tickets, and will bring the USO-Metro's Mobile Unit to the Wolf Trap performance. This special deployable unit, sponsored by Boeing, features a stainless steel kitchen, an exterior flat panel TV with satellite and video gaming, laptops with Internet access, and a stereo with a PA system to bring the comfort and entertainment directly to today's highly mobile armed forces.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to lift the spirits of local military families by providing them with a unique opportunity to enjoy quality time together," said Elaine Rogers, president of The USO of Metropolitan Washington. "The USO's role is to do the little things to boost morale and let them know they are supported and appreciated. The continued generosity of the community makes it possible for USO-Metro to serve the troops and their families, and we are truly grateful for this partnership with The Boeing Company and Wolf Trap."
