Wells Theatre to Celebrate 100th Anniversary with Block Party Tomorrow

Celebrate the Centennial of the historic Wells Theatre with Virginia Stage Company in the theme of The Great Gatsby Era!
Virginia Stage Company is hosting a free100th Birthday Block Party Bash for the Wells Theatre tomorrow, Sept. 6. Events begin at 5:30pm and end at 8:30pm. In conjunction with Downtown Norfolk Council's First Friday, Tazewell Street between Granby and Monticello will be closed down for the celebration. The Block Party is FREE, family friendly, and open to the Public! Some of the activities and vendors planned will be period music by Hotel Paradise Orchestra, Smartmouth Beer, Panavoir Food Truck, Twisted Sister Cupcakes, free Theatre Tours, and free ice cream provided by Doumar's, one of the Well's original tenants.
