Based on the memoir of award-winning comedic author David Sedaris, this hilarious one-man-show takes us back to ye olden days when he was one of Santa's Elves at Macy's Department Store. In this one-act play the struggling writer, who chooses the elf name "Crumpet," weaves an unbelievable tale of drunken Santas, lascivious actors, and combative parents. Come laugh, drink and be merry with your friends at the Wells Theatre. This late night holiday treat for adults is sure to make your spirits bright!

Virginia Stage Company invites "mature elves only" to Cocktails with Crumpet on December 7 - a pre-show mixer at the Wells Theatre featuring delicious eats from Gershwins and Happy Hour drinks with the star of the show - actor Tom Detrinis. Doors open at 6pm.

The Santaland Diaries runs for a limited time only with seven performances beginning December 6 and continues until December 16. Tickets are $35 with general admission seating and includes a $10 gift card to Waterside District for the first 1,000 attendees.

Interviews can be arranged with actor Tom Ditrinis, crew, creative team, or staff of Virginia Stage Company. All reviews are welcome, and tickets can be provided to anyone who wishes to see the production for these purposes.

Virginia Stage Company is southeastern Virginia's leading theatre destination, serving an audience of over 70,000 annually both at the Wells Theatre and throughout the community.
