Four County Players Announce Audition Call for THE SONG OF MARK 1/23

By: Jan. 22, 2010

Auditions for TheSong of Mark will be held Saturday, January 23 at 2:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, 6566 Spring Hill Road, Ruckersville, VA. Director Tricia Belan is looking for 8 - 10 more adults to round out the cast she has already chosen for this great show. If you are interested and unable to attend, please contact her at songofmark@firstva.com to inquire about an alternative date. This production offers many solo opportunities as well as powerful group numbers. Rehearsals will be held in Ruckersville.

Please come prepared to sing 1-2 minutes of music in any style that demonstrates range and to participate in a brief improvisational exercise. An accompanist will be provided.

The Song of Mark is a compelling musical portrayal of the public ministry of Jesus Christ, pulling together numerous parables from the Gospel of Mark with captivating melodies and inspiring drama.
Mark's gospel presents a very active Jesus, and this is highlighted by Marty Haugen in a variety of musical arrangements, from the irreverent "So Good to Be Here" to the haunting "Unless You Learn" and the light-hearted "If Anyone Has Ears". To hear clips of the music please visit www.fourcp.org/auditions.php.
