Feuds, Family, And A Mothers Will Are Tested At Barter Stage II

Barter Theatre is excited to announce Sally McCoy running Oct. 4 through Nov. 10 at Barter Theatre Stage II. Sally McCoy follows the historic story following a mother who is on a mission to save her family during one of the most historical family disputes in the history of the country.
When the Hatfield family captures Sally's three sons. She charges on a mission to get them back. Audiences follow this enticing and intense story as Sally does everything in her power to rescue her sons.
"We all know something or other about the epic feud between the Hatfield's and McCoy's. It is the stiff of American legend, a tribal take of bloody vengeance that endured the last 30 years of the 19th century," said Susanne Boulle, director of "Sally McCoy". "Family was on Sally's mind that night in 1882, as she made her way through the dark and treacherous woods of the Hatfield farm. Family. Her boys. Her everything. This is her journey to get her everything back."
"Sally McCoy" started out as an entry to Barter Theatre's Appalachian Festival of Play and Playwrights. The play has been so well received that it was one of the winners of the festival and made into a full production on Barter Theatre's Stage II. "Sally McCoy" was pinned by playwright Alice Stanley.
"Sally McCoy" is made possible by the generosity of our corporate sponsor Farris Service Group, and media sponsor, The Rogersville Review.
Tickets start at $20, for tickets, call 276-628-3991 or visit BarterTheater.com.
