OPEN AUDITION NOTICE: “The Radio Play Disaster”

The Lionheart Theatre Company will be holding open, non-equity auditions for our upcoming production of “The Radio Play Disaster,” a short comedy by Don Zolidis.

This production will be directed by Tanya Gilmer.

Lionheart is seeking 13 actors for this production. Auditions are open to all body types and all ethnicities are welcomed. Please note that these roles are all non-paying.

Audition Dates:

Sunday, November 12 at 6:30 pm

Monday, November 13 at 6:30 pm

Auditions will consist of cold reading from the script. Please bring a copy of your acting resume and a current photograph that we may keep.

January 26, 27, 28

February 2, 3, 4

Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 pm

Sundays at 2 pm

Rehearsal Schedule:

Schedule will be set by the director after casting based on actor availability.

Show Synopsis:

Self-proclaimed genius Harlan Bean is ready to make history with his science-fiction radio masterpiece Battle of the Planets. But when the broadcast is in the hands of an ambitious actress with her own vision for her character, several terrified last-minute replacements jumping in, and a disgruntled sound engineer out for revenge, the mayhem in the studio makes an alien invasion look like a piece of cake. Radio goes hilariously off the rails in this flexible piece.
