AUDITION NOTICE: Music Theatre of Connecticut's Show Choir, MTGlee

Music Theatre of Connecticut School of Performing Arts announces auditions for MTGlee, Fairfield County’s show choir. MTGlee (grades 9-12) will be auditioning for new members on Monday, June 1 from 4pm - 6pm. Auditions will take place at Music Theatre of Connecticut, 509 Westport Avenue (Route One, Behind Jones New York and Nine West) in Norwalk, CT.

MTGlee will rehearse for upcoming summer performances beginning June 22 - July 2 from 6-9pm at Music Theatre of Connecticut. The group will be the featured entertainment at the Westport Compo Beach Fireworks on July 3; at the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts in Westport on July 5, and with the Norwalk Symphony at their Pops Concert in Cranbury Park in Norwalk on July 12. Tuition for the summer program is $425.

Acceptance to MTGlee is based on audition. For the vocal audition, students should prepare 32 bars of a contemporary song (Broadway or Pop) and should bring sheet music in their key (a pianist will be provided). Students may provide a picture and resume if available (not required).
