Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is holding open auditions for their annual summer community outreach production and for their upcoming 2013-2014 mainstage season.
In collaboration with Frederick Community College, HOOD College and The Ensemble School, the outreach production this year will be Peter Pan by J.M. Barrieand directed by MET Associate Artistic Director Julie Herber. Performances are scheduled for August 8 through 17 at FCC's Jack B. Kussmaul Theater. Numerous roles are available for actors age eight and up. Auditions will be held at Maryland Ensemble Theatre (31 W Patrick Street, Frederick MD 21701) on May 28 and 29, 2013. Children ages eight to sixteen will be able to audition between 6 and 7pm while audition slots for adults are available between 7 and 8pm. Actors will be allotted three minutes to present one monologue or two contrasting monologues. As this is not the musical version no singing will be required. MET's mainstage season open call auditions are scheduled for June 3 and 5, 2013 at Maryland Ensemble Theatre between 7 and 10pm. All six MET mainstage shows will run for sixteen performances over four weeks between September 2013 and July 2014. The show titles will be announced after May 21, 2013. Auditions are open to non-union actors ages 18 and older. Auditioning actors will be allotted three minutes to present one monologue or two contrasting monologues and again no singing will be required.
