Hershey Area Playhouse Announces Auditions for Other Desert Cities

Hershey Area Playhouse is holding auditions for its upcoming Dark Night Series production, Other Desert Cities, Sunday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Auditions will be held by appointment only at the Playhouse, located at the corner of Sand Hill Road and Cherry Drive, Hershey. Roles for three women and two men are available. Written by Jon Robin Baitz, Other Desert Cities is a story about Brooke Wyeth, who returns home to Palm Springs after a 6-year absence to celebrate Christmas with her parents, her brother, and her aunt. Brooke announces that she is about to publish a memoir dredging up a pivotal and tragic event in the family’s history – a wound they don’t want reopened. In effect, she draws a line in the sand and dares them all to cross it.
