NEXT TO NORMAL - Mad Cow Theatre

Mad Cow Theatre is holding musical auditions by appointment only for
Next to Normal book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt running June 8 - July 8, 2012. We are looking for an ensemble company of 6 professional singers with strong rock voices. Bob Brandenburg is directing, John Mason, musical director. A cast breakdown is available:

ALL ROLES REQUIRE STRONG ROCK AND ROLL VOCALS

Diana - 30’s – 40’s, sexy, sharp. Delusional bipolar depressive.

Dan - 30’s – 40’s, handsome, genuine, constant and tired.

Gabe - 17 – 18, dashing, gentle, bright, playful – everything a mother would want. Ability to play electric guitar helpful but not necessary.

Natalie - 16 and trying to be perfect – it’s not going well. Ability to play keyboard/piano helpful but not necessary.

Henry - 17, a musician, romantic, stoner, slacker, philosopher king. Ability to play guitar, drums or keyboard helpful but not necessary.

Dr. Fine/Madden – on the young side of ageless – assured – could be a rock star



Please prepare two contrasting pop/rock songs and bring a picture and resume. An accompanist will be provided. Audition appointments will be scheduled Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 at Mad Cow Theatre, 105 S. Magnolia Avenue, Orlando, Fl 32801. Callbacks, by invitation only, will be held on Monday, April 2 in the evening.
