Locally focused but with an international reach, NDSF returns in full force this coming summer, featuring a new Professional Company staging of Romeo and Juliet, directed by Chris Anthony, alongside a new Touring Company production of All's Well That Ends Well, directed by Scotty Arnold.

The
Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival features both professional and student talent working alongside each other, and performs annually for thousands of visitors from across the United States, as well as several international regions. The Festival features Broadway and Tony Award-winning actors, and world-class artists from the Cleveland Playhouse, Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Guthrie Theater, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, the Old Globe, the Public Theater, Canada’s Stratford Festival, and many others from New York to Los Angeles.

In addition, local adult actors will be invited to audition for roles in this year’s Professional and Touring Companies. “We’re delighted to continue the tradition of casting undergraduates, grad students, recent graduates, and local pros, together with artists from Broadway, Chicago, Los Angeles, and beyond, says Grant Mudge, Ryan Producing Artistic Director of the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival.
