Plot Synopsis
Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced Fronk-en-steen) inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced Eye-gore), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. It's alive! he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.

Male or Male presenting-Brilliant brain surgeon, professor and grandson of mad scientist Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein
Igor
Male or Male presenting-Frederick’s faithful, bright-eyed, eager servant and friend–with a hunchback. Sings, Dances, Comic timing.
The Monster
Male or Mal presenting-Played by a bigger man – the bigger the better. The misunderstood creation of Dr. Frankenstein. Also must be able to emit howling/monster/grunting sounds. Tap dancing a plus.
Inga
Female-Frederick’s bubbly, not-so-bright young assistant. Sexy, attractive. A resident of Transylvania. Yodeling is a plus. Sings, Dances (tap a plus), comic timing
Elizabeth Benning
Female-Self-loving, “madcap”, boisterous fiancé of Frederick. Sings, comic timing
Frau Blücher
Female-Intense, stern housekeeper of Frankenstein estate. Former lover of Victor von Frankenstein. Sings, comic timing
Inspector Hans Kemp
Male or Male presenting-Head of the police in Transylvania, with a wooden arm and leg. Justice-driven. Heavy fake German accent.
Blind Hermit
Male or Male presenting-Lonely, poor, blind town hermit longing for a friend. Sings, comic timing
Dr. Victor von Frankenstein
Male or Male presenting-Frederick’s infamous grandfather, sings, will be cast out of the ensemble
Ziggy
Male or Male presenting-The well meaning village idiot. Sings
Ensemble
All genders-Strong vocals and dance/movement. Tap Dancing a plus. The ensemble will portray: gravediggers, villagers, passengers, mad scientists, medical students and various supporting roles. A TON OF STAGE TIME.
