MAHALIA: A GOSPEL MUSICAL - Southwest Fulton Arts Center Theater
Dominion Entertainment Group is seeking African-American actor/musicians for its upcoming production of Mahalia: A Gospel Musical by Tom Stolz about the life and music of Mahalia Jackson.
Character Breakdown:
- Mahalia – a strong actress with a powerhouse traditional gospel voice
- Female singer/actor/should play piano well – will portray multiple roles.
- Male singer/actor/should play organ well – will portray multiple roles.
- Martin Luther King
- Understudy roles
Actors should prepare a traditional hymn, spiritual or gospel song that best showcases their singing abilities.
The show will be presented at the Southwest Fulton Arts Center from April 7 – 17, 2022.
Rehearsals begin March 15, 2022.
