MD RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL'S PROFESSIONAL ACTING COMPANY - Maryland Renaissance Festival
Audition for the 43rd season of the Maryland Renaissance Festival. The professional acting company members take part in various shows, events, and activities
in the village of Revel Grove as they bring to life a day in Tudor England. All roles paid.
This year’s two main stage period plays are Romeo and Juliet directed by Michael Burgtorf and THE COMPANY OF WOMEN’S production of Julius Caesar directed by Erin Riley. Actors also take part in the popular STREETspeare program, in which actors perform short scenes Tudor playwrights throughout the village.
Be part of this exciting company where actors have the opportunity to flex many creative muscles - if you sing, dance, are an actor/combatant, or great at improvisation, there is a chance to use your skills at the Festival.
Experienced actors over the age of 18 are invited to submit their headshots and resumes to Artistic Director Carolyn Spedden at: carolyn@rennfest.com
Auditions are by invitation only, and will be scheduled for late April.
Rehearsal commitment: Actors must be available Saturday, June 22nd to Thursday June 28th. Two weeks off, then rehearsals begin July 13th. Performance dates are: Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day Monday from August 24th to October 20th .

Salary: First year actor’s salary: $2300 for the 19 performance days. Includes rehearsal honorarium of $200.
