KINKY BOOTS - Curtain Call, Inc. Non Equity Auditions

Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price, a factory owner struggling to save his family business. Charlie forms an unlikely partnership with cabaret performer and drag queen Lola to produce a line of high-heeled boots to continue his father’s legacy and save the business. In the process, Charlie and Lola discover that they are not so different after all. Renowned singer and songwriter, Cyndi Lauper, and Tony Award winning theatre legend, Harvey Fierstein, team up as composer and playwright to tell an incredible story that Broadway had never seen before.

Seeking submissions for the following:

Lola/Simon(Tenor C3-B4) – An emotionally and physically challenging role that requires the soul of a Diva, a la Whitney Houston;has a star presence and feels comfortable wearing everything from full glamour as a scene-stealing drag performer to nothing but boxing trunks; has a killer voice with power blues and gospel chops; Ethnicity: Black / African Descent.

The Angels(Tenor C3/A4) – The drag performers who populate The Blue Angel Nightclub. The angels are an integral part of the show with big personalities. Sing and dance in full drag with heels. There will be opportunities to understudy principal roles as well.
