Seeking Non-Union Actors - 1 Man and 1 Woman, as follows:

DYLAN 30s, male. Jewish-American, living in Brooklyn for the past ten years. Good-looking, but not handsome. An endearing young man who looks like he didn’t shower today. Possibly bearded.

AMAL 30ish, female. Palestinian-American, born and raised in Boston. Attractive, with a classic Middle Eastern look; Harvard educated. She wears a hijab, but is otherwise dressed western.

Rehearsals will start late February/early March 2016. Rehearsals may be in NYC and Northern NJ.
Performance are April 1-3 and 8-10, 2016 at Porch Light Productions in Glen Rock, New Jersey.

JERUSALEM IS BEAUTIFUL is the winner of the Twelfth Annual NJPC - Play Series
Two young peace activists – a Jewish-American male (Dylan), and a Palestinian-American female (Amal) – unexpectedly cross paths. He is leaving his job at the “Coalition For Peace” to travel to Jerusalem and she has been hired to take over this position and his employer sponsored Brooklyn apartment. While they had arranged a meeting for the following day, Amal comes unannounced to his apartment in the middle of the night. During her visit they debate politics, reveal personal tragedies, and come to a surprising and romantic mutual understanding. Jerusalem Is Beautiful is a charming and timely play that will leave you with lots to think about.
