HUMPTY'S HATCHING DAY - Theatre Now New York Non Equity Auditions

Theatre Now, a non-profit company dedicated to the development and production of new musicals, is seeking musical theatre performers for Humpty's Hatching Day, a 10-minute musical with book by Kenny Harmon and music by Steve Wallace. This show is part of SOUND BITES 2022, a benefit festival of original 10-minute musicals to support Theatre Now's Musical Theatre Writers Lab and the development of new musicals. The benefit will be held at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center on May 23. Story line: Everyone knows how Humpty Dumpty's story ended, but why did he climb the wall in the first place? Spend 10 minutes with Humpty, his best friend Jack Sprat, and a few of Humpty's other friends on the most important day of his life. Seeking:

Humpty - 20 to 30 years old, Black male. Tenor, Pop/R&B/Soul, must be able to rap well. Range D3-B4. Our hero, a broken-hearted romantic. Eager but a little unsure of himself.

Jill - 20 to 30 years old, Black female. Soprano, Pop/R&B/Soul, must be able to rap well. Range B3-F#5. Excited and supportive but has to let Humpty down easy.

Jack - 20 to 30 years old, Black male. Baritone or Low tenor, Pop/R&B/Soul, must be able to rap well. Range B2-F#3. Very cool. Has a good heart but is a bit of a player.

Black Sheep - 20 to 40 years old, Black male or female. Character singer, Big energy, “Hype Man/Woman”. DJ at the club. Must be able to rap well.

Itsy Bitsy - any age, all ethnicities female. Alto/Mezzo Soprano, RP British Accent, Range C#4-D#5. A trickster. Pretends to be caring but is really manipulative.

Musical Theatre Performers - any age, all ethnicities, various types for other festival shows, stipends will vary
