ELLA THE UNGOVERNABLE - Theater For The New City Non Equity Auditions
ELLA THE UNGOVERNABLE - Theater For The New City
We are looking to cast young actresses of color to play the four main roles in the theatrical production of Ella The Ungovernable at Theater For The New City.
It tells the story of 15 year-old Ella Fitzgerald's incarceration and eventual escape from The NY Training School For Girls in Hudson, NY, in 1933. Our actors should be between the ages of 15 and 28 and should be able to sing.
Although the play is not yet a musical, per se, it has four songs for Ella to sing and we are looking to increase that number. All roles will be paid $500 per week and non-union.
will be assembling an entire cast over the winter, and are also looking to cast additional roles.
Please send head shots, acting and singing reel links to our page listed above or: luminescentmedia@gmail.com
